This spot is perfect if you're coming for the renaissance faire. It's like 5 minutes down the road. It's a perfectly serviceable motel at a good price. Our room was clean and cozy. It had a mini fridge and microwave, which I really appreciated. Rebecca took care of us and made sure that we had everything we needed. She made sure our trash was emptied and we got fresh new towels every day. She also let us know that if we needed anything, she'd be happy to help.

Just stayed here on the night of June 14th, 2024. We were attending a Penn State Master Gardener seminar about 10 minutes away, so the location was ideal. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The man behind the checkin desk told us we were lucky to get a room because it was they busiest week due to some sort of soccer tournament going on, so I'm glad we got it. I don't need a lot to make me happy in a hotel, a comfortable bed, decent pillows, clean linens, and maybe a TV with a few channels for me to fall asleep to. Mt Vernon has this in spades. I was a little concerned when we first checked in because there was a lot of traffic on the road out front and I was worried about the noise, but the rooms are very well soundproofed. If you are an earlybird the top level faces directly east, so if you get up you can get a great view of the sunrise over the field across the road from the benches in front of each room. (FWIW, although there is no breakfast offered, the Kounrty Kitchen that is a literal 10 second walk is amazing) If I can offer ANY suggestion at all, not a complaint, if you guys could maybe place in each room, or make available, a chair or some sort, even a folding chair for those of us who would like to sit down not on a bed to avoid some back pain, that would be wonderful. Coming back to the area later this summer. We'll be staying here.

Talk about a gem! We love our fancy bed and breakfasts but this place was very nice, affordable, and central tip a lot of popular attractions! Rebecca works hard tho maintain things. Our room was super clean and cozy! Having a mini fridge and microwave was amazing since some more expensive places won't even let you eat in your room! Our view out back was beautiful too! Highly recommend!

I personally really like it here. it's quiet, no commotion, no problems. the prices are decenthe check in via 3rd party booking sites is kind of weird. they just leave the room unlocked for you to get the key. outside of that, everything was on the up and up. pretty cut and dry. definitely plan on coming back.

I am an exacting, uncompromising person who is not easily impressed. I give no one five stars. I love this place so much I wish I could give it more stars. I thought places like this were extinct. Due to my work I have stayed in dozens of hotels and motels, mostly big chain hotels and some of them quite luxurious, but I haven’t seen a place this sparkling clean in a long time. It was comfortable, safe, and had everything we needed. The glorious cherry on top was the owner Sunny and the downright magical housekeeper Rebecca. They take pride in what they do and it truly shows. I felt like we were staying with family. If you long for a place that still recognizes the importance of customer service then don’t miss this one. For the first time in a long time I felt like I was seen as a person and not a name on a credit card. This is not a fancy place, but if you appreciate value, superior cleanliness, comfortable, safe, and a personable staff that recognizes hosting is an art, then this is your place. No it’s not the Waldorf, but to me this place is better.

Stayed here for the weekend and we enjoyed it so much. Rooms were clean and quaint . The owners were pleasant and helpful. The views were amazing . Within walking distance of an amazing restaurant will be leaving them a review next. Definitely would return in the future

Great location, right outside of Manheim. No coffee or WiFi, but there's a Country Diner just two houses down with both.

I am putting this as a 5 star rating for a motel category. Obviously this is not the Ritz, but the stay was nice. It was clean, bed was comfortable, and they were kind enough and able to allow us an early check in. Water pressure was good, and water got quite hot. Would definitely stay again!

We had to go to a friend's christmas party and they suggested Mt. Vernon motel. Well we had the best experience ever! The "motel guy" was very personable. I would highly recommend this motel ❤️ we will definitely be back next year. Please support your local family owned business...
